Mother-Daughter Coaching with Licensed Therapist, Brittney Scott

Heal your relationship through an online mother-daughter coaching program specifically designed for mothers and daughters to develop a deeper understanding of self and each other for a stronger connection.

Mother-Daughter Coaching in a Safe and Supportive Environment

This private twelve-week coaching program is for mothers and daughters ready to try something different, come to the table, and do this work together. Whether you’ve been butting heads or not even speaking, hope and healing begin in the simple choice to show up. And I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

We’ll have weekly online sessions to work through a proven process carefully designed to help you create a relationship that feels fulfilling for each of you. You and your mom/daughter can attend your sessions together, or you can join separately from different locations – ideal for long-distance mothers and daughters.

Coaching that works even if you’ve stopped talking to each other

Whether every interaction ends with a fight or you’ve both reached a point where silence seems like the safer option, it’s easy to feel like things will never get better.

Over time, it may seem like cutting off the connection would be easier, but the truth is that the silence just becomes a deep, underlying hurt that doesn’t really go away.

And whether we know it or not, that hurt goes on to affect us for the rest of our adult lives as women. But through mother-daughter coaching, you can bridge the distance to gain clarity and healing.

There’s a lot here at stake, and it’s worth fighting for

The mother-daughter relationship is the one relationship that literally begins for us before we are even born. It helps define who we are as women and our place in this world. The strength of this relationship can make the difference in who we are, how we allow others to treat us, and what we can achieve in the world.

That’s why I’ve created this private and supportive space for you to reconnect with each other in a way that feels good for both of you. No playing the blame game and no room for a war zone.

Both of you will learn how you got here and receive the tools you need to move forward with peace.

Are you willing to show up for yourselves and each other?

With Brittney’s help, my daughter and I were able to bridge the distance between us. Brittney helped us understand the intergenerational trauma that has haunted our family and provided us with the tools we need to break that cycle. Our relationship is strong now and we have come to understand and accept one another.

Coaching for any mother/daughter duo

 For Mothers

Bridge the distance between you and your daughter.

It’s tough to love your child so deeply and want them to be confident, safe, and supported in this world, only to feel like you’re constantly being blamed and pushed away.

I also know you want to be the person your daughter can come to, no matter what’s going on in her life.

Whether you are dealing with the intense moods of a teenager or the growing distance between you and an adult daughter, there’s hope here even if you often find yourself thinking, “What went wrong?!”

Through mother-daughter coaching, we’ll work together to determine when and how the disconnection started. We’ll also explore what you, your mother and grandmother were taught about how to act and speak as women in the world, and how that affects you as a woman today.

You’ll learn how to listen and speak so that both of you feel heard and understood, and bridge the distance between you and your daughter.

For Daughters

Get the support and understanding you need to flourish.

You’ll probably understand when I say I often work with daughters who say their mothers are constantly critical and controlling. They never feel like they’re good enough, and they just don’t get along anymore.

But if you dream of the day that you can cut your mom off completely, while secretly being a little jealous of people who are close to their moms, there’s hope – even if the situation feels impossible or therapy hasn’t worked in the past.

Through mother-daughter coaching, we’ll figure out what’s underneath all the comments and arguments. Plus, you’ll gain a new understanding of yourself and what you’ve learned about being a woman in the world and in your family.

You and your mom will also learn the tools needed to connect with each other while still staying true to yourselves. And if you have a daughter or plan on having children, the work you do here will change things for the better for generations to come.

I was looking for something because we were not getting along and had actually stopped talking to each other. My daughter already informed me that she was not interested in family therapy with me, until she spoke with Brittney and Brittney explained to her the program that she offered. Being able to meet with my daughter and Brittney via zoom made the whole process easy and very convenient. Now I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter and I think I am a better listener.

How is this program different from others?

Even if you’ve tried therapy before, this is a bit different and uses a model specifically created for mothers and daughters. Although I use my skills and knowledge as a licensed therapist, this coaching program is different.

Rather than being open-ended and talking about who said what and when, we’ll explore how your relationship with each other isn’t any one person’s fault. Instead, it is the product of what generations of women in your family were taught about what it means to be a woman and what it takes to be heard and respected.

Through this online mother-daughter coaching journey, both of you will receive a deeper understanding of yourselves and each other. With that understanding, you will each learn pivotal ways of speaking and listening to each other, helping you both solve the ongoing question of “How do I love her while staying true to myself?”

I’m Brittney M. Scott

And just like you, I’m a daughter. I’m also a mom, a mother daughter coach with experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping women get the compassion and confidence they need to flourish.

I started this work when in my work as a counselor, I kept seeing a pattern where women who came in with anxiety often struggled with their relationship with their moms.

In wanting to help them, I learned all I could about how mothers and daughters relate to each other and what attachment looks like from daughter to mother.

Mother-Daughter Coaching FAQs

  • While this will be a therapeutic space for you and your mother/daughter, I will be facilitating the sessions as an active coach, and not as a therapist or counselor. However, both of you will still benefit from the high level of ethics, confidentiality, and experience that I maintain as a licensed professional outside of this work.

  • As your coach, I will be actively guiding you through a process of reconnecting with yourselves and each other, versus having open-ended therapy sessions without a specific process or goal.  Each session will have a specific purpose, and we will complete exercises or assignments together throughout the program. Both of you will be seen together in a supportive space where you will both get the tools you need to have a positive and long-lasting relationship.

  • Yes, all sessions for mother-daughter coaching are confidential. As a professional, I will not share the details or specifics of the work we do with anyone else, or mention that we are working together without your express permission. However, because this work takes place online, I am not responsible for anyone who is with you or overhears you during our sessions. You are solely responsible for finding a quiet and private place where you can attend the session online.

  • This work is meant to be done together. In the event that one or both of you cannot attend the session as scheduled, the session will be cancelled and rescheduled at a better time within reason. Please give me at least a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel/reschedule a session. I do understand that life occurs and I am happy to reschedule, but I also reserve the right to end our time together if you and your mother/daughter are unable to complete your ten sessions within a five-month period from the date of your first session.

Healing is here.

Let’s co-create the mother-daughter relationship you know is possible.
